System buttons

  1. Create a new folder in the current directory [ Ctrl+N ].
  2. Change the name of a file or folder [ Ctrl+N ].
  3. Search a file in the current directory [ Ctrl+F ].
  4. Generate a report on encryption processes [ Ctrl+P ].
  5. Clear process information [ Ctrl+Del ].
  6. Go to File or Folder Encryption Mode [ F9 ].
  7. Go to file and folder decryption mode [ F10 ].
  8. Enable packet mode [ Alt+P ].
  9. Enable secure e-mail [ Alt+M ]
  10. Set system settings [ Alt+S ].
  11. Set the encryption process settings [ Alt+E ].
  12. Permanent data deletion [ Shift+Alt+Del ].

SYSTEM MENUS

Files and Folders Functions

One of the main menus is what allows the operator to perform different actions with files and folders such as creating a new folder, renaming, searching for a file or group of files with a specific extension, etc.

The main features of this menu are as follows:

• Creat a new folder [ Ctrl+N ] - Allows the operator to create a new folder in the current directory. The folder name is set in the creation template. If no such folder is specified, it will be created with the name "New Folder".
• Rename selected [ Ctrl+R ] - This function allows you to change the name of an existing file or folder.
• Search file [ Ctrl+F ] - Using this function, you can search for a file or files with a specified extension in the selected directory or logical drive.

Example:

If the operator wants to get information about all files with extension *.DOC on logical drive D:\ you need to enter *.DOC in the "Enter File or Extension" field and click on the arrow to the right.
As a result, the "Select file" field will display the requested information.

If you are looking for a specific file but do not know what extension is being saved, you need to enter the name of the search file followed by a point and an asterisk in the search box.
For example, if we are looking for a file called "GSM PM", but we do not know what extension is saved, we need to enter "GSM PM*" in the search box and click on the arrow to the right.
As you can see from the attached image, the file you selected is displayed in the File Select field.

• Process report [ Ctrl+P ] - This function automatically generates an official report for the actions performed at that time. These reports can be converted into PDF, HTML or RTF format as well as printed on paper.
• Clear information [ Ctrl+Del ] - This option deletes process information. In practice, only the information stored in the computer's memory, not files and folders, is deleted.
• Delete permanently [ Shift+Alt+Del ] - Permanent deletion selectd files and folders from the local disk in a way that prevents their recovery, even with the use of special technical means.
• Exit [ Ctrl+X ] - closes the application.

Preview Items

Separate elements of the application can be hidden or visualized.
In this way, operators are able to adjust their appearance according to their needs and preferences.
This process is called personalization.

The appearance of the modules is done by checking as shown on the image.

Note: The control process is the subject of separate consideration.

Application Tools

The File Protect System includes a set of extremely useful tools such as secure e-mail, backup system, and more.
Some of these tools require additional settings, but in general most processes are fully automated.

• Mail messages [ Alt+M ] - Enables secure e-mail to exchange encrypted messages and files.
• File package [ Alt+P ] - Bringing the system into backup and batch mode for files and folders.
• Chipter and hash settings [ Alt+E ] - Allows you to select the encryption algorithm and hash function.
  
• System settings [ Alt+S ] - Set application system settings.
  
• File encryption mode [ F9 ] - Toggles the system in encryption mode (encryption) of files and folders.
• File decryption mode [ F10 ] - Toggles the system to decrypt (decrypt) files and folders.
• Start process [ F12 ] - Start encryption or decryption process, depending on the mode in which the system is located.
• Stop process [ Esc ] - Allows an emergency interruption of the current process in case of need.

Helpful Information

The help information provides the operator with extremely important information about the functionality of the version used, for available updates, and also allows direct contact with the application support center.

• Help information [ Alt+F1 ] - Displays the user's guide for the version used. As this information is received online, it is constantly updated according to the changes and updates made to the application.
• Check for updates [ Alt+F2 ] - Within twelve months, all LE users are entitled to free updates as well as promotional prices for the additional services offered. This feature allows automatic access to this information.
• Contact us [ Alt+F3 ] - Allows the operator to ask questions in writing to the application support center in writing.
• About FPS [ Alt+F4 ] - Displays official information about the version used, as well as the user ID.
