LE3.1.1.4
PROCESS CONTROL FOR PACKAGES
INFORMATION ON THE PACKAGE CONTENT
Protected package table
The secure packet table contains data for files that are encrypted or decrypted in the package mode of the information.
Typical of this table is that it records the full path to the files as well as the exact time they were created.
Unlike standard information in this case, time is recorded in milliseconds.
The reason for this is that the date can be modified, but milliseconds do not.
In practice, they are a marker of authenticity.
What should be noted is that the packet mode only reports information about the files stored in the package.
Information on the actions taken
The action information contains data about the encryption or decryption process performed against the files in the package.
This information includes the name of the file as well as data about
the encryption algorithm and the hash function with which the action is
performed.
Password or control string information (if a non-standard encryption form is used) is not output for security reasons.
What we need to know is that in the encryption process all files in the package are encrypted with a single password.
The information is displayed in text type, which allows its subsequent processing.
For decryption, it is important to know that all files in the package are encrypted with a single password.
If there was a file in the package that was previously encrypted, after
decrypting the package, this file is subject to further decryption.
It is possible for some of the algorithms to lead to loss of information.
To avoid such difficulties, it's a good idea to encrypt files in batch
mode before making sure that none of them has been encrypted.
It is a good thing after completing the debugging process to check the file integrity.
It's easiest to do this as the content is visualized (double click on the file).
This will ensure that all processes are properly processed and that the information has been preserved.
